Andrew Flynn is a Commissioner in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and President of CONNECT, a coalition of 41 municipalities in the Pittsburgh region. A municipal advisor specializing in long-range financial planning, he also serves as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He writes on public finance and the capacity of local institutions.
Andrew Flynn is a Commissioner in Mt. That combination shapes how he approaches public problems: as questions of capacity, where money, structure, and operations either line up or do not.
He is also a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Mt. Lebanon Fire Department.
Andrew writes regularly on public finance, local government capacity, regional service delivery, mobility and street design, emergency services, and the condition of democratic institutions. He was raised in a family shaped by public service and lives in Mt. Lebanon with his wife Corey and their family.
